In a ten team league (SPL executives please note) it feels as if you're playing the same teams every week. And sometimes you are. The revised fixture list for rescheduled games postponed during the fierce winter has just been issued: and Dumbarton will face Peterhead away and at home on 19 and 22 February, respectively. Meanwhile, today's game at Recreation Park will be the third encounter with Alloa Athletic this term, and the second in three weeks, given our mighty 4-1 victory (McNiff, Walker, Carcary, Geggan, since you ask) on 18 January. Back in September 2010 we drew 0-0 with the Wasps in front of 559 people. It'll be a tight game this time too, with the home team looking for vengeance, or at least redemption, from their last visit to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium, and Sons seeking to build on a great performance and result midweek against Airdrie United. Indeed, if we win this one, we could be off the foot of the SFL Second Division table for the first time in, well, ages. I'm trying not to count the weeks. Fingers crossed.(I've just emailed to a friend: "We played like mini-Brazil in a Tundra on the plastic pitch
at Airdrie on Tuesday night. I'm hoping we aren't simply frozen out at Alloa this afternoon!")
