I'm in shock.
Dumbarton, having gone to the foot of Division Three (and let's face it, the whole League) thanks to a midweek
Forfar mini-revival, have just beaten
Albion Rovers 1-0 at Cliftonville, stopping a penalty on the way. That's two victories on the trot. I got the good news while watching
Exeter take three points off
Altrincham with a 2-1 victory that keeps them in the play-off zone. So a good day all round. But that Sons win is definitely the crowning glory. Both
East Stirling and Forfar lost. So it gets better and better. In attendance for the Albion game was
Graeme Robertson (pictured) longstanding
DFC fan and editor of the match day programme
Sons View since 1991. Nothing unusual there - except that he wedded
Anne Carlton at Airth Castle, near Stirling, yesterday. What a honeymoon! Given the obviously benevolent influence of this event, I texted Graeme to ask him if he could get married every week. A bit expensive, he says. Aw, we can organise a whip round, I'm sure. (
Big Rab has a
fine photo of Graeme here.)
